So I mentioned a while back that I'm beginning to change up my colour schemes. Well this is probably one of the many changes you might notice. I used to be a plain kinda black and white guy, using colour only as a small accessory of interest, however since the sun's come out I'm turning more and more to colour each day. Bear in mind, I'm still keeping this kind of pastel greyish colour palette, just using it a bit more as a main focus.
With this outfit I'm on my navy game. I recently did a little haul over at Asos, I've never really shopped there before because there is just SO much to choose from, and I'm the kind of guy that likes to see it through to the last page to fully consider all my options (when that page is number 50 or so it gets a little overwhelming). But anyway, I had a little mooch of the new lines added and picked up a couple of gems that I'm really happy with.
The jacket is from a brand called KIOMI. They're a Berlin based designer that produce some solid minimal styles, and just from the jacket, I can more than vouch for them. Firstly I have to say they've absolutely nailed this colour, the kind of purply navy is a dream and sits well with almost any colour I throw at it. The jacket is also super light weight, ideal for Spring, with this waterproofed soft touch fabric it just feels really soft and luxurious. Over a shirt or sweater, even a fleece, this jacket is a must have piece for Spring/Summer.
The trousers are from Weekday, I've mentioned them previously. But yeah, this heavy twill, denim look in the loose fit is mega comfort for the lower half. It even provides a built in roll up so you don't have to! I've been searching for a nice pair of heavy weight denim jeans, looking at brands like Nudie, A.P.C and Levi's, however after I got these Weekday trousers I don't think I'll be needing them. The denim kind of feel they've put in crossed with the trouser style is a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional menswear. Pair them up with a nice grey sweater and converse and you've got yourself a smart-casual day to day outfit. It's a win win situation here guys, these are another must have.
So overall I've developed into this kind of wash of navy, grey, white and khaki. Some pretty solid colours for the upcoming season. Yet again, thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. I hope it provides you with useful info on where to take your SS17 wardrobe!
