When I was a kid, I did the whole, beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers thing. It was fun y'know? Being outdoors, being in close proximity to fire, away from the rents, with your mates. But yeah, then I got a little older and well, it just wasn't cool anymore. Safe to say, it's one of those adult regrets!
So I'm trying again. I'm beginning to find myself more and more drawn to the outdoors, the idea of just going off into the wilderness to shoot some amazing landscapes is like a dream. But we got to prepare for that kind of trip right? My wardrobe has begun to reflect these kind of urges as I find my taste in clothes becoming ever more practical.
More trusting in workwear and outdoors brands means that my worries of quality have been thrown. If people walk can walk around the artic in this tee I'm sure it'll last my trip around the house. Lol.
To the outfit....
I've played loyal in this one, all brands I'm sure you both know and love like me. But don't hate because they aren't all indie and new they're all 'mainstream' for a reason right?
So to begin, the tee. Patagonia, everyone's familiar with this one I'm sure. And with their release of the P6 logo tee I'm sure many of you have that classic Patagonia logo on your back. Here however, I've opted for the Patagonia '73 Logo Tee. It's classic kinda retro logo with some bright simple colours makes your base layer pop when you wear it open.
Next I've kept to my roots with plain black. I've recently developed a thing for fleeces, they unfortunately have this weird stigmatism around them that they're uncool, but to be honest, they are SO warm. I've paired this simple Northface Fleece with my Carhartt Vest, a perfect combo in my eyes especially for the coming months where it's gonna be a little breezy.
For the pants, I've again, opted for trusty Carhartt. In my opinion, if you want some hardwearing basics, get some Carhartt. Especially when their sale hits, it's normally when I acquire most of my bits. So these are the Ruck Single Knee Pants. A loose fit, similar to that you'd find in a pair of Slim Straight Dickies, but a little more tapered. These look great rolled up a couple of times and paired with some Redwings or Converse. Stick to high tops if you ain't got swanky socks to show off.
I mainly enjoy to shoot using my DSLR and experiment with editing in post production, however because of my girlfriend's recent interest into getting into analog photography I've been trying my hand at it as well. I'll see if I can get some scans up when I develop.
If you've made it this far down, thank you for taking the time to read my post. It means a lot to me for views like yours, greatly appreciated! But if you have any tips for me to improve, things you'd like to see more or less of, then please leave a comment below. Feedback is key!
