So It's definitely been a while since my last post, I have to admit I am slacking a little, but I feel like Instagram is kind of taking over my whole blogging thing, I find myself writing shorter little snippets on there which can be much easier to digest. But here I am, back again, with another big one.
I got the opportunity to collaborate with the guys over at ManCave and try out a few of their grooming products. Safe to say this has never been a massive section of my daily routine and it got me thinking; do I do enough to care for my body? Anyway, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to delve a little deeper and try something new.
ManCave specialise in natural, vegan grooming products tailored to the modern man. You might be thinking this stuff normally costs a premium but I managed to pick up all my bits for just under £20, and almost one month has gone by and I still haven't finished them. A little seems to go a long way with these guys. I spend more on my monthly haircut...
Anyway, the bits I picked up were the Face Wash, Moisturiser and Hair Paste. I normally use Kiehls for my moisturiser and face wash and I think my skin has been getting pretty used to it, so this was a welcomed change. I found both skincare products from ManCave very easy to apply and absorb. Both are also scented really pleasantly, it's amazing they can derive such a nice and powerful scent for purely natural ingredients, some kind of Le Labo like magic! But the bit I'm most happy with is their hair paste. I've been on the look out for new hair products for such a long time now, I've been using this V05 stuff since I was a teenager and it feels like time I elevated my haircare to the next level. The difficulty with grooming products I find is it's very hard to try before you buy. Sure, some brands provide you with ample samples to take home, but it's normally with a purchase or lengthy customer service session. I'm not normally one for human interaction in these scenarios, mainly because I just don't know what I'm looking for. I can't be the only one... Anyway, this hair paste has managed to tame my tricky, thick Asian hair into finally taking the styles I tell it to. I've found that using it just after the shower, when your hair is still damp, helps just give it a bit of strength and stability so it's not, well, everywhere. I will then proceed to blow dry and depending on whether I wear a hat or not that day, apply a touch more to adjust the style. I find this paste actually gets better as the day goes on, I'll find my hair looking perfect as I gaze in the mirror before I go to bed, thinking to myself, I wish I could get this on the first try!
So overall, it's been a really good experience. I will definitely be going back to these guys for my hair care as I'm a big fan of the way it looks, feels and smells! In regards to my skincare it's a tricky one, I haven't really noticed much of a difference except for the scent, but in terms of pricing, you can't really go wrong! They were also kind enough to provide me with a dicount code for all you guys to head over to their website and get yourself 20% off, code is (ANTHONY20). I'll leave a link below so you can click straight through. Also they also wanted me to mention they're now being stocked in Tesco, so you can literally grab this stuff on the go!
As per usual, super nice to be back behind the keyboard, rambling on about all my thoughts on this! Comments would be greatly appreciated, good or bad! Let me know.
